Position: Training and Development Specialists
Employment: Contract of 6 months.
Available positions: 4 positions, 1 leader and 3 officers.

Overview

Training and development specialists help create, plan, and run training programs for businesses and organizations. To do this, they must first assess the needs of an organization. They then develop custom training programs that may take place online, in classrooms, or in training facilities.

Training and development specialists organize or run training sessions using lectures, team exercises, individual exercises, case-studies and other formats. Training also may be in the form of a video, a self-guided instructional manual, or an online application. Training may be collaborative, allowing participants to connect informally with colleagues, experts, and mentors.

 

Scope of Work

  • Assesses training and development needs through research, surveys, interviews, group discussions, and communications with job-seekers, employees, managers, instructors, coaches, and managers
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of training and development programs
  • Creates and/or acquires training materials such as guides, toolkit, offline and online courses
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training to improve job-skills and employees performance
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements, and other such records
  • Assesses training materials
  • Collaborates with partners and vendors to adapt and/or customize materials where relevant
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback
  • Maintains bank of knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
  • Creates, plans, and implements budgets
  • Maintains records and reports of expenses
  • Performs administrative tasks as required
  • Performs other related duties as required

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Head position: 5+ years of experience in people development, training, or other people-related functions
  • Officer position: 3+ years of experience in people development, training, or other people-related functions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Experience working in a complex organization; collaborating cross-functionally with different levels of stakeholders
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of E-learning development is desirable
  • Strong working interest in psychology, the use of technology and digitalization is a plus
  • Digital savvy
  • High initiative, problem solver and courage to perform
  • Passionate about people, education, and distance learning
